OLD RECIPE FOR CHEESY MASHED POTATO WITH A TWIST

Hi,

When I was a baby, we lived in an upstairs flat. My Mum and Dad did not have very much money and according to my Mum it was hard to make ends meet.
An old woman used to live in the flat below us and she was pretty much in the same boat money-wise.  The old woman told my Mum a recipe for cheesy mashed potatoes which was cheap to make and very tasty. Because it was mashed up it was also very easy for me - as a baby to eat. It was full of protein. Mum usually used to serve it with sausages or bacon, sometimes on its own if money was really tight. However, if they were feeling flush, which wasn't very often, pork chops. My Dad told me that he once took tinned peach sandwiches to work for his packed lunch as there was nothing else to eat!!! Yuk.
I have attached a video from my channel at youtube   kbmaisie333 to show you the recipe if your interested.
